Although you can add links to your Squarespace 5 site using the text editor, there are built-in options for adding a list of links as a page or sidebar widget.
Step 1 - Add the page or widget
Your can add the Links module as a page on your site or widget in your sidebar.
- To add it as a page, follow these steps.
- To add it as a widget, follow these steps.
Step 2 - Add a link group
To add a link group:
- Enter Content mode.
- Hover over the page or widget and click the annotation to add a New Link Group.
- Add a Title and Description (optional).
- Click Save & Close.
Step 3 - Add a link
To add a link to the group:
- In Content mode, click Add (widget) or Add Link (page).
- Add a title, URL, and a description (optional). If you're linking to another site, add the full URL, including http://. If you're linking to a page on your site, use the page slug method.
- Click Save & Close.
Step 4 - Add more groups and links
To add more links to this group, repeat Step 3 as many times as needed. To add more groups, repeat Step 2.
Edit or delete a group or link
To change a group or link, enter Content mode, then:
- Page - Click Modify.
- Widget - Click Edit.
To delete a group or link, enter Content mode, then click Remove. Deleting a group deletes all its links.
Reorder groups or links
To change the order of groups or links:
- Enter Content mode.
- Hover over the link or group until the four-way arrow appears.
- Click and drag the link or group.
