Adding a Map Page

A new addition, the Map module quickly integrates an embedded Google Map. It is commonly used to share an office location to help customers find your business.

Suggested Uses:

  1. Map your business office location
  2. Map a meeting place
  3. Other creative meet ups

You can add a map page to your site to embed a map of your location, directly into your page.

Step 1 -- Add Map Page

Add a page to your site, and choose the Map page from the page options.

See this guide for assistance with adding a page to your site »

Step 2 - Choose Location

Enter the address you want the map to display into the Locate Address field.

Note: You will need to click Find to locate your address and have it display within the map before continuing, see here:

Once this is added, click Create Page to save your changes and display your map on your site.

Embedding a Google Map

You can embed a simple map, a set of driving directions, a local search, or maps created by other users.

Step 1 - Grab Embed Code

  1. Go to Google Maps and enter your address.
  2. Click Link in the top-right corner of the map.
  3. In the box that pops up, copy the HTML under Paste HTML to embed in website

If you'd like to adjust the size of the map before you embed it, just click Customize and preview embedded map, select your preferred size, and take a look at the preview map. Once you're happy with what you see, copy the HTML that appears in the box at the bottom of the window.

Step 2 - Insert Embed Code on your website

Back at your website, switch to Content Editing mode , navigate to the page you wish to add the file to, and click edit page (or new post/modify post, etc.). Click the cog icon in the upper left corner of the edit window (next to the video icon).

After inserting your code, click to save and close to apply to your page.
